Pedestrian bridge in industrial complex
About the project
Design of two footbridges in a metal structure that form the connecting pathway between various buildings of an industrial complex.
The pedestrian bridge P1 has a total length of 49.54 m, divided into two asymmetric spans of approximately 21 m and 29 m, with a continuous beam supported on 3 supports.
The pedestrian bridge P2, instead, has a curved layout with a radius of curvature of 46.4 m. The length is divided into 3 asymmetric spans of 9 m, 17 m, and 17.5 m, with a continuous beam supported on 4 supports.
The structural models from which geometries and loads for the verification of the joints were deduced were created using the Midas Civil software
The BIM link plugin to the IDEA StatiCa Connection software was used to export geometries, materials and loads.
Below is the project of two typological joints used for the footbridge, in particular two more complex unions which represent the nodes of the model in which the different structural systems resistant to horizontal actions as well as the vertical resistant structure converge.
